Jesus modeled this for us. He gave His life for us. 1 John 3:16.
Jesus went further, because we were still sinners when He died for us. Romans 5:6-8.
Just as soldiers have given their lives for our freedom. So Jesus, gave His life for our spiritual freedom. Galatians 5:1.
