New Beginnings & Second Chances, Part 4: Jonah

1/28/2014

Key Verse from Sunday:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"  -2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV

Recap
We looked at the story of Jonah (you can read the story from the Bible by clicking here>>)

Some thoughts from Jonah's life.
1. Don't Run from God.
2. Even though Jonah had given up on himself, God hadn't given up on Jonah.
3. When God speaks, people listen.
4. Repentance releases God's compassion.
5. People come first.

Question for Reflection
Today's questions is the same as the question I asked on Sunday.  I think it deserves further thought.

What is God asking you to do to save the Ninevite in your life?

Here’s a quick run-down of some gaslighting signs to watch out for, along with ways to respond and get support.

The word “gaslighting” has grown more common and widespread in the past few years, but the term itself actually comes from the 1938 play Gas Light (and its 1940 and 1944 film adaptations), which tells the story of a husband who tries to convince his wife that she’s crazy.
