Just as the Bethlehem star led the Magi to Jesus, so too God will guide us to Jesus if we watch for His guidance.
Question for Reflection
Can you see how God has been guiding your life towards Jesus? I welcome your comments. Through the life of Joseph we see that when we honour God and His ways, God will make a way when there seems to be no way. Key verse is Matthew 1:19 (NIV), "Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly." Be faithful in honouring God when it doesn't make sense and watch what he does.
Question for Reflection
Have you ever had to choose to be faithful to what God has shown you in the Bible, even though it didn't seem to make sense in a natural sense? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason There is power in saying "Yes" to God. Mary shows us how by her example. "I will put aside my plans, my ways and my wants for your plans, your ways and your desires for me. That's what it means to say 'yes' to God. Just watch what He does."
Question for Reflection
Mary said "yes" to God and His plan for her. What are reasons that people say "yes" or "no" to God and His plan for them? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason Today we continued looking at Matthew 9:35-38 & 10:1. Jesus sees the need and asks us to do one significant thing. Pray. Do you see the harvest? How will you respond to Jesus call to pray? We apologize for the audio quality of this recording. There are a few issues near the beginning of the recording, but they are resolved as you listen.
Question for Reflection
It's so easy for our prayers to become all about us. How can we keep a balance in our prayers between praying for our needs and also praying for God to send workers into His harvest fields? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason |
