This week we focus on first base, which is the character base, or winning within. So often we want results first, but God wants to build our character first. How? By remaining connected to the true vine, Jesus (John 15:1). "In the Vine, is the power to win within. When I drift from the vine, I drift into vice!" -Kevin Myers. This series is based on God's Word and teaching from the book "Home Run Life" by Kevin Myers & John C. Maxwell. Pick up a copy in North Bay at "The Lighthouse" or at your favourite online retailer.

Question for Reflection
Do you sometimes skip important "growth" steps in an effort to have a successful life? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason Happy Thanksgiving! We looked at the story of Jesus healing 10 men with leprosy in Luke 17, and how we too, should be like that one who returned to Jesus and gave thanks first. *Note, there is no sermon handout this week. Question for Reflection
When God answers prayer, do you thank him first or just continue in your day? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason We were excited to have Joel Bradley from Samaritan's Purse Canada as our special guest speaker. Question for Reflection
An Operation Christian Child Shoebox is a gospel opportunity. What else could God use as a “gospel opportunity” in your life today? I welcome your comments. -Jason |
