As we come closer to our anniversary celebrations I would like to share with the church some of the plans that we have been diligently working hard to complete. On Saturday November 21st, and Sunday November 22nd, the people of Laurentian Wesleyan Church will be celebrating and giving God thanks for our rich and wonderful 75 year history while also looking towards the future. Saturday events which will begin at 6:00pm here at the church will include a light buffet dinner, a message from Rev. Thurland Brown who will represent the District and Rev. Dave Johnston the minister of Powassan Wesleyan Church . During the evening we will also be blessed to have the Powassan Wesleyan Church Worship Team help up celebrate our anniversary. We are planning to sell tickets with the small cost of $5.00 per ticket for the Saturday night dinner to offset the cost of the meal. For Sunday morning our Worship Service will begin a little earlier than normal starting at 10:00am . During our service, Rev. Thurland Brown and I will be speaking and our service will include special music. This is not a complete list of what will be happing during our anniversary celebrations but as the date nears we will make sure that the church is aware of what is being planned. Seating will be limited for the dinner and tickets will be available soon.
