It was an exciting day here at Laurentian Wesleyan Church on Sunday June 1. We were privileged to have Pastor Jeremy, his wife Mina and their daughter Nadia with us.

Pastor Jeremy is a former missionary who this church prayerfully and financially supported while he was on the mission field. Pastor Jeremy and his family have just recently come to Canada . For Pastor Jeremy he is coming home but for his wife Mina and their daughter Nadia Canada is a whole new experience. Pastor Jeremy is now serving as the Assistant Pastor of Youth and Worship at Brockville Wesleyan Church in Brockville , Ontario .

Pastor Jeremy and Mina were invited to Laurentian to share their life story and experiences with us. During the Sunday morning service Pastor Jeremy shared about the need to reach out and share the love of Christ to all people no matter what race, creed or religious background they had. In particular Pastor Jeremy talked about our need to reach out to Muslim people. Mina with the help of Pastor Jeremy creatively shared her testimony with the church. Mina, while dressed in her country’s traditional clothing, shared her testimony in her native language with Pastor Jeremy translating it into English. Her message captivated the people of Laurentian. On the same day in the evening the church gathered together to enjoy a delicious meal in the lower auditorium before having an evening service. During the service Pastor Jeremy shared more about his own personal testimony and about his experience working on the mission field. Pastor Jeremy with his flexible style gave opportunities for people to ask him any questions that were on their mind during the evening service.

Over all the day was wonderful and in which I believe the church will remember for a long time.
