Offering Envelopes

Since we have several families that have started coming to Laurentian in recent years, I think I should clarify our procedures for the use of envelopes for your offerings. As you are probably aware, in order to issue receipts for Income Tax purposes, it is essential for regular donors to use pre-numbered envelopes. If you are a regular contributor, and have not yet requested a set, I encourage you to as soon as possible. In addition to satisfying government requirements, using numbered envelopes saves you the bother of writing your name and address on your envelope each time you make a contribution.

In recent years, we have changed the policy of issuing a set of envelopes every year, as was done for many years, because people were ending up with a couple of years supply of envelopes, especially if they were not using them every week. Now, when your supply is getting low, all you need to do is notify me, and I will ensure that you have an additional set by the following week. A new set is not automatically issued to you at the beginning of every year.

We use envelopes that are not dated, so there is no waste, and the complete set can be utilized

If you have envelopes left over from a church that you attended previously, please do not use them. We can provide you with ours at any time you are in need.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at any time.
