Cookies For Missions 2011
We had another successful year in which our church helped raise $305.00 through our Cookies For Missions project which our youth used to select gifts to help families and communities through World Vision during Christmas. (December 2011)



Operation Christmas Child 2011
As a church Laurentian strives to make a difference where it can. With our involvement with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) and the Christian Salvage Mission (CSM) we were able to fill a whole truck with 134 OCC boxes and another 56 boxes going to the CSM. Once again we thank Erb Transport for all their great help in safely delivering all of our boxes. (November 2011)



Operation Christmas Child
Here at our Laurentian Wesleyan Church we have what we call our “Boxing Day” event in which we pack all the gift boxes we’ve collected for Operation Christmas Child. This is a great event and it is thanks to the people of the church and to our friends who come along side us to help that makes our “Boxing Day” event such a success. (November 2011)

As the local Collection Centre for Operation Christmas Child our job is to distribute materials such as empty gift boxes then later to collect, pack and ship the full gift boxes down to Operation Christmas Child’s sorting centre. (November 2011)

Operation Christmas Child
A team of volunteers from Laurentian Wesleyan Church worked the Community Kiosk at the Northgate Shopping Centre providing people an opportunity to pick up one or more boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This outreach was well received and we were able to distribute quite a few boxes. (October 2011)

Pastor Chris took part in North Bay’s local Christian radio station 103.5 KFM’s Fall Sharathon 2011 fundraiser by helping co-host the morning segment of the program which was lead by Dean Belanger the station manager and weekday morning host. (October 2011)



Celebrating 60 years together.
On Thanksgiving Sunday the people of Laurentian Wesleyan Church took time during their worship service to express their love and appreciation to a wonderful couple Laverne and Elaine who are a part of the church and who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. (October 2011)



2011 Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is always a wonderful time to think about how blessed we truly are. Each year the people of Laurentian Wesleyan Church are asked to contribute food items that are then donated to the North Bay Food Bank and to the Crisis Centre. (October 2011)



2011 Operation Christmas Child
As the Operation Christmas Child Collection Centre for North Bay and the surrounding area part of our job as a church is getting resources into the hands of those who want to help with the project. 2011 Operation Christmas Child
The people of Laurentian Wesleyan Church kicked off the 2011 season of Operation Christmas Child on September 25th. It was a wonderful day in which we heard how the gifts collected and shared are making a difference in the lives of children and their families all around the world. After our service we enjoyed a time of fellowship where we got to have a taste of this wonderful cake. Our hope is that we will surpase the 3,000 box mark this year. (September 2011)

2011 CSM Bookshipment
Laurentian continues to receive Christian material from all over Northern Ontario. As a collection centre for the Christian Salvage Mission we are grateful for the opportunity to help get resources such as Bibles and Sunday School material into the hands of those who wish to use them. So far this year we have sent out three loads of material. (September 2011)



2011 Fall Kick-Off
After a great summer the people of Laurentian enjoyed a potluck luncheon to kick-off the fall programs. (September 2011)



2011 Annual Bible Club Picnic
The people of the church enjoyed the celebrations of our Annual Bible Club Picnic. In this picture the youth of the church were trying to win the container of jellybeans by guessing how many there were. (June 2011)



Wedding 2011
There are many events such as weddings that we at Laurentian celebrate together. Celebrating the good times in life and supporting each other during the bad times is just one of the great reasons to be a part of a church family. (June 2011)



Spring 2011 CSM Book Shipment
With our most recent shipment of materials, the sixth so far, we have shipped from Laurentian a total of 421 boxes, 80 boxes in this last shipment alone. All together we have collected and sent more than two thirds of a sea container worth of valuable Christian resources to the Christian Salvage Mission who in turn ship the material free to those in need around the world who would otherwise not have access to the material. Thank you so much for your generous and enthusiastic support of this wonderful ministry. (April 2011)

The Easter season is always a wonderful time of year within the church in which we commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. (April 2011)



Special Men's Event
A group of men from Laurentian took part in a special men's event in which they received a tour of the operations at the 22 Wing Canadian Forces Base in North Bay. (March 2011)



Northern Lights Wesleyan Church's 9th Annual Swimathon.
On behalf of Laurentian Pastor Chris and his family took part in Northern Lights Wesleyan Church's 9th Annual Swimathon. Funds raised from this and simular events help support Northern Lights Wesleyan Church. (March 2011)



KFM Radio Visit
Dean Belanger of the local Christian radio station KFM 103.5 spoke at Laurentian about the 2011 spring "Sharathon." The people of Laurentian support the great work that KFM is doing in our community. (March 2011)




Progress
